Parenting means being responsible for your child. To raise them up to become the best version of themselves. At least that should be what your aim is

The greatest job on earth
We hear about the billionaires of this world like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and we all can’t help but think that they all have the best jobs in the world. It is no small feat to come up and design and make that much money selling your services or product. They are geniuses of our time. They indeed have the greatest jobs in the world.
However, I believe that parenthood is any even greatest job in the world. You (hopefully) plan to have a child and nurture that child to adulthood. You showcase your child to the world just like the business people do. Either you know it or not, your child is your product. From babyhood, teenage years (which I will call work-in-progress years) and adulthood (the finished project). Your child carries your DNA and is part of you. If you look at your finished product, are you feel with glee or is it worry? Are you proud of the person you brought to this world or could you have done better?
Heritage is a brand
When you do a good job of raising your child, you will be a proud mum or proud dad. You can’t help but want to tell everyone you meet about your well-to-do child. You know in your heart that whatever happens, your heritage will do well. You may not get paid billions of money, to be called a billionaire like we do the business people. But make no mistake, the payment you get for raising great, amazing human beings is worth more than all the gold on earth. Your name, which is your brand will be known for generations to come. You give the world a great person and the world is better for it.
It's not fair but...
The opposite is also true. You bring up thieves and murderous, you live in regret. You don’t want people to know about your child. Some parents are even forced to move away from their communities, to disassociate themselves with the bad ways of their child. Your bad child does not contribute to this world but takes from it. A dysfunctional grown up cost a lot of money for governments of this world to take care of them. From housing benefits, unemployment benefits, homelessness, prisons, and rehabilitations, it all adds to more billions a year. These services though used by people from all walks of life, it’s fair to say most users are adults coming from bad parenting families. We are all products of our environments.
Focus on it
That’s why to me, good parenting is the greatest job on earth. If you do it right, you can build the best citizens this world have ever known. If you fail, you give a lot of responsibility to your government who have to find ways to retrain your child from their toxic ways. That’s why it’s important to learn about parenting and to become the best parent you can be. There is a lot of people directly and indirectly who are trusting you to deliver the best care for a lifetime to your children. Parenting does not require perfectionism but it requires people who know what they are doing, maybe qualified people and to handle with care the best product on earth; A human being.
